Common Entrance Assessments

Most vocational schools and community colleges require one of several standardized tests to ensure basic academic proficiency: 

• Math and Literacy Exams: Many programs administer proprietary basic math and grammar tests to ensure students can handle the calculations and terminology required in pharmacy practice.

• The Wonderlic Exam: Some certificate programs use this cognitive ability test.

• The ACCUPLACER: Selective programs may require this test to assess Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic skills.

• Waivers: Schools often waive these exams for applicants who already hold an Associate degree or higher from an accredited U.S. institution.

The Assessment Process
